GOOD. (formerly The Australian Christian Channel - ACCTV) is a religious channel available in Australia. It is no longer available on satellite. In late 2014, ACCTV became available for viewing on free-to-air TV on the Optus D2 satellite, alongside several other international Christian channels. The channel was previously also available on free-to-air digital terrestrial television in Sydney on the Digital Forty Four & Optus Television service. They have also partnered with Shine TV in New Zealand, U-Channel in Indonesia and UCB in the UK to establish a broadcast service center in Australia that provides programming for those channels.

GOOD. is a non-profit organisation. Any proceeds in addition to expenses go to fostering new programs, support services or community welfare programs. They also do not sell air time – programs are broadcast at no cost. The provision of finance is not a consideration in determining which programs will go to air on the channel. Programs are selected on merit and their potential placement within the schedule.

Purpose Statement[]

We are curators of good stories. Stories about hope, life and the things God is up to in the world. We want to inspire all people with the life-transforming good news of Jesus through engaging television.

Faith[]

The foundation stones of GOOD. are VISION and FAITH. The vision for GOOD. is to see the Good News message of Christ broadcast through the Australian media platforms. The journey of faith began in 1987 when a vision was birthed to see a Christian-based television channel established in Australia. What began as an impossible dream became a reality on Easter Sunday 1999, when ACCTV commenced a 24-hour broadcast on Optus Television. From humble beginnings, ACCTV has grown steadily and is now available as GOOD. on most subscription television services in Australia.

“Faith is taking the first step even when you don’t see the whole staircase.” Martin Luther King Jr.

Faith is also like a muscle that requires stress and pressure to make it strong. This analogy relates to the development of GOOD. By God's Grace and providence, we will continue to build on the foundation that has been laid and establish a Christian media platform that is a World leader in the area of faith-based broadcasting.

Hope[]

In a world where there is a desperate need for hope and encouragement, GOOD. is intentional in its efforts to provide a platform where people are encouraged, enriched and inspired with a sense of Hope. Hope is more than just a matter of turning on the TV, it's connecting with the message of hope and discovering a life of meaning and purpose, based on the “Hope of the World” – the person of Jesus. “Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” There is a distinct link between faith and hope and in faith, we hold onto the hope and believe that one day every home in Australia will have access to GOOD. “Hope never fails.”

Love[]

“Love always protects, love always hopes, love always trusts, love always perseveres.” Love is our motivation. It's at the core of everything we do. Our love for God compels us to work with integrity and excellence. The outworking of this love is to see GOOD. become the very best it can possibly be. We are passionate about sourcing the best programs to inspire, encourage and offer hope to our viewers. “We Love Good TV” has become our standard. It's what we stand for and what we aspire to and we believe the best way to do that is through the power of story. We are intentional in broadcasting life-changing stories, that inspire, encourage, build-up and declare the Love of God to all. The greatest story of all is a Love story, it's all about Jesus.

Original Content[]

GOOD. produces original content including its own weekly show called 'Be That'. Each week the GOOD. team highlight some of the programs that are showing on GOOD. whilst having some fun.
